Open
the Board
The layout contains TWO RECTANGLES: The inside is labeled A;
the outer is labeled B. A is bad; B
is good. You start in A and advance to B
which can lead to victory.
Both
A and B feature RED, GREEN, TAN and
GOLD spaces: RED is bad; GREEN is neutral; TAN is good; and
GOLD is ideal. You want GOLD.
Note
that A features six RED spaces, three TAN spaces,
two GREEN spaces, and one GOLD space titled Quality World.
B
features four GREEN spaces, three RED spaces, three GOLD spaces,
16 TAN spaces and two EMOTIONAL PITFALL spaces. You
want to avoid EMOTIONAL PITFALLS (just like in life).
Notice
there are three PLAYING CARD areas: Disconnections, Connections
and Quality World.
Each
card carries a point ranking:
RED cards carry NEGATIVE points.
That is because RED cards are associated with negative
Disconnecting habits, such as blaming, bribing and threatening.
TAN
cards carry POSITIVE points. That is because TAN cards are associated
with positive Connecting habits, such as supporting,
trusting and listening.
GOLD
cards carry POSITIVE points. That is because Gold cards are
associated with ideal attributes such as freedom, fun and power
inherent in a Quality World.
Here
is where the fun begins. Players roll the die, advance their
token the number of spaces indicated by the roll. They draw
the card that is associated with the color of the square on
which they land. The player then reads the card aloud, gives
a personal example and is awarded the score on the card.
The scorekeeper tallies the score and play continues with the
next player rolling the die.
To
advance from A to B a player must earn
100 points.
NOTE:
Inside A, players are awarded DOUBLE the amount
on the TAN cards. This applies ONLY INSIDE A.
Upon
earning 100 points, the player graduates to B and
continues using the same format and scoring system.
THE
GOAL The first player to reach 1,000 points wins.
